Cambridge’s First-Ever Indigenous Peoples' Day Celebration – A Day to Remember!
Get ready, Cambridge! For the first time ever, we're hosting a powerful and exciting Indigenous Peoples' Day Celebration right in the heart of Central Square. Mark your calendars for October 14th, because this is an event you won’t want to miss! 🎉

We're coming together as a community to celebrate the rich culture, art, and stories of Indigenous peoples in a way that Cambridge has never seen before. It’s a day to honor voices, creativity, and history, and to experience something truly special.

Here’s what you can expect:

✨ Live Indigenous music and dance performances – Featuring incredible talent like Chali’naru Dones, a Taino woman and advocate for Indigenous rights, and Justin Beatty, a multi-disciplinary artist from the Ojibwe and Saponi tribes.

🎨 Art, poetry, and storytelling – Experience the magic of Luna Del Flor’s poetry, powerful artwork from Brian Life, and meaningful stories that connect us to local Indigenous history.

🍲 Local food vendors – Enjoy delicious food that showcases the flavors of Indigenous culture, plus more surprises to keep your taste buds happy.

🌍 Family-friendly activities – Bring the kids! It’s a perfect day for everyone to come together, learn, and have fun.

This historic celebration is being brought to you by Chali’naru Dones of the United Confederation of Taino People and Michael Monestime, President of the Central Square Business Improvement District. Together, they’ve curated a lineup of incredible artists, advocates, and community leaders to create a meaningful and inspiring day.

Come celebrate with us at University Park, 65 Sidney Street, and let’s honor the resilience, creativity, and vibrant cultures of Indigenous peoples together. You’ll leave inspired, connected, and full of love for the amazing people that make up our community.

See you on October 14th – it’s going to be an unforgettable day! 🎶🍂
